High school is a critically important time, where students prepare themselves for college or technical occupations. Falling behind in high school puts students at risk for not graduating on-time or dropping out. Factors like race, foster care status, disability status, and immigration status can affect academic performance and on-time graduation rates, further exacerbating gaps between high and low performing students.
To understand High School Education as a function of inequality, we used four indicators:
- Race & Academic Performance
- Race & School Discipline
- Disability & On-time Graduation
- IncomeĀ & On-time Graduation
